SERVAL
Since 1992, Serval has been making letters, shapes and colors dance, breathing rhythm and spontaneity into walls and canvases.
The purity of the line, the texture of the stroke, and the energy of the movement that accompanies his gestures make his work easily recognizable. The technique remains at the service of the emotion and depth created by his hues and lights.
His passion and knowledge of classical and contemporary painting have deeply influenced his work and set him apart from other urban artists of his generation.
His work as an illustrator complements the balance Serval seeks between abstraction and narrative, between emotion and mastery. An artist whose mastery of aerosol paint is world-renowned, Serval has been studying and working for several years to deepen the connections between his work as a painter, his life as a dancer, and the texts he writes as he narrates his works.
A resident artist at the Geneva Museum of Art and History since 2016, his abstractions bring a depth of reflection and sharing that his years of university studies have guided both in the subject and in the accessibility, from urban spaces to gallery canvases.
