Natureplastic

“I always paint with a music playlist or a radio show playing in the background.

It was while listening to a program reporting on the accelerated deterioration of biodiversity that a speaker pointed out that today there was only a very limited percentage of virgin forest left, that is to say, not yet having undergone transformation by man. I then understood that the forests, woods, and countrysides in which I walked with my family to be at the heart of "nature" turn out not to be so natural after all.

By pushing the idea to the extreme and being a bit provocative, I imagined a "Natureplastique", a transformed, modified nature where the treetops would be laser-cut, where the birds would be mutants, the flowers would be plastic, and the bushes would be colored with hatching."
