Tales, fables and urban myths define the places and popular culture of a region. However, in Geneva, few legends are circulating. Even less recent stories. Familiar animals, local fauna, mythical creatures and improbable chimeras, each place is potentially the den of a fabulous creature or a surprising story. The author Florian Eglin and the artist Serval join forces to fill Geneva with fabulous stories, all based on the real origins of each commune, its fauna, its flora, real or mythological. The project develops through frescoes, paintings and posters, interactive interventions, readings and follow-up on virtual platforms, all coordinated by the association Liaisons Urbaines.

From walls of several dozen meters to paintings on solid wood, from haikus to tales, Geneva's towns and cities are enriched with a fanciful bestiary, but also with anecdotes that recall their forgotten origins, their symbolic animals and the places that define them.

Fabulae Genavenses is an artistic project that mixes the creative process of the author with that of the illustrator, both of whom are passionate about mythology and local culture. Plunged into the heart of the history but also of the fauna of their canton, the two of them join forces and make this collection of urban and rural legends progress by being offered walls and facades by private individuals and public communities of the districts and communes of Geneva. From Carouge to Confignon through Eaux-Vives, the fables are growing and increasing their following of curious people, fans and lovers of art and stories.
