TAPE ART
Tape art consists of the creation of works of art using various types of adhesive tape.
We can separate this movement into two distinct techniques: duct tape art and, more recently, brown tape art: the first uses opaque cloth tapes, the second plays on the transparency of tan packaging tape.
It is an art by nature ephemeral because the adhesive tapes are materials of very poor quality, deleterious to the paper and media and will pose significant conservation problems.
